Calming Ritual Guide


The calming ritual is about creating a peaceful atmosphere to relax after a busy day and give yourself time for recovery. Free yourself from stress, worry and negative thoughts. The smoke is a sacred source of purifying energy. Light the incense and take a deep breath to create stillness and calmness. Breathe in and breathe out. Set an intention for your moment. Feel what you want to let go of, what no longer serves you and make room for new power and energy.


  • Start the ritual by airing the room or place. Light the incense or Panto Santo stick with a match or over an open flame.
  • Place in a fireproof container and use circular motions to diffuse the smoke and the calming and healing aromas.
  • You can use your hand, a feather, or a seashell to direct and distribute the smoke.
  • Allow your intuition to guide you and allow the smoke to fully embrace your ceremony.
  • Give yourself a moment of contemplation and inner harmony. Rest your gaze on the glowing incense stick and follow the formations of the smoke. You can also look out of a window or fix your gaze on a fixed point on the wall.
  • When the incense has burned off, make sure it is extinguished.
  • End by thanking Mother Earth for her benevolent powers and energy.
