Local Craftsmanship

Wooden mask made by local artisans of the indigenous Chané people who live in northern Argentina. Each mask is hand painted with natural earth pigments as well as pigments from ground stones and minerals. The masks are made within the framework of a social initiative that ensures that the producing artist receives a fair price for his work. These masks have a sacred and personal connection to each artisan and their culture.
